Totally agree with you. It seems the most people affected by it are those who are "postmodern" enough in their thinking that their experience can never be swayed by the truth. Truth is not important enough to them. If they feel better about their lives, that's what matters to them. Unfortunately for such people, the gospel is not about us feeling better about our lives. It's about us being convicted of our sinful state before a Holy God and realizing that His loving provision for our deliverance from the bondage of sin is only through the atoning death of Christ on the Cross. In my experience, the more we know Christ, the worse we feel about our lives, and the more thankful we are for His grace towards us.
