BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRIES

2212 Chisholm Trail, Rockwall, Texas 75032  (972) 771-0568

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:4, 5

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:  he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  and whoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die, believest thou this?

John 11:25, 26

And the angel answered and said unto the woman, fear not ye:  for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.  He is not here:  for he is risen, as he said.  Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Matthew 28:5, 6

When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them, and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

John 2:22

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised).

Hebrews 10:23

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

II Peter 1:4

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus.

II Timothy 1:1a

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.

I Peter 1:3, 4

At this resurrection time of year Christians around the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the joy of His finished work on the cross. “ Foreasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot”  I Peter 1:18, 19.   Since this is true, “Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness“ II Peter 3:14, 17, 18. Nothing else can be added to God’s Word; it stands in its sufficiency.  Let us worship, praise and glorify the ONE who bought us with so great a price!   Let us praise Him that He is a God who keeps His promises  Matthew 28:5, 6.

Grant me more and more of the resurrection life:

May it rule me, may I walk in its power,

And be strengthened through its influence.

The Valley of Vision:  A Collection of Puritan Prayers

On the home front there have been many repairs and projects completed (new shower on the 5th attempt!) radio interviews, counseling opportunities, update completed on the book, research on animals and possibilities for next animal DVD, and the flu bug times one of us.  The otolarngoloist determined substantial hearing loss (Jobe) and hearing aids should be on the way in two weeks. The dermatologist determined that every six months return visits must be more carefully addressed (Jobe), with two more than simple basal cell areas that had to be deeply excised, and 20 other superficial lesions.  Taryn and Mirren succumbed to this current bug, alias, “Campus Crud” but are finally coming up for air and improving.  We are all very thankful for the degree of health and blessing we experience even with the minor set-backs. We give praises to our dear Lord Jesus for the many accident free miles of travel. Travelling safety is actually miraculous with all the road debris and accidents happening every day. Taryn and Mirren continue to enjoy campus life and the opportunities to minister amidst their studies.  Graduation still looks to be May of 2009, please keep them in prayer as they continue to prepare for their upcoming Latin examination.
